DDS Partners with My Safe Ride Home

Digital Dispatch will integrate with My Safe Ride Home over the next few months, modifying its software applications to accept the My Safe Ride Home payment card. Initially TaxiTrack should have this feature fully integrated by May with PathFinder integration to follow in the early summer and lastly for TaxiBook later in the year.
The My Safe Ride Home organization will now be providing a pre-paid "ZONE Rates" card for a wide range of 'Risk-Related Situations' including hospitality- related businesses, school boards, institutions, and commercial and corporate accounts who are requiring specialized services supported by the taxi industry. In using the MYSAFERIDEHOME service the cardholders are assured a safe drive home. Correspondingly the taxi industry is assured of a 'Premium Rate'. The MYSAFERIDEHOME customer pre-loads his/her service with one or more 'ZONE Rates' thereby guaranteeing the driver of payment; and the customer a 'Quick Pick-Up'. Under this program the taxi is required to drive the patron home regardless of the destination point and consequently are paid the meter rate up to the full limit of the card used. The initiative is sponsored by a variety of groups including RADD (formerly known as, the Recording Artists, Actors and Athletes Against Drunk Driving) www.radd.org; BC Centre for Social Responsibility (www.ufv.ca/bccsr) and a range of associations, all of whom benefit from the program both from a public image and legal standpoint. Uniquely in this regard the program provides an opportunity for taxi owners/drivers to be pro-active partners in their customers' circle of safety.
The MYSAFERIDEHOME program will serve to safeguard cardholders and mitigate legal exposure around a range of 'Risk-Related-Situations'.
For taxi companies this means a higher number of fares with more people taking taxis rather than unsafely attempting to drive themselves home. Also, the program removes any concerns for payment from a patron, while increasing the frequency for these same individuals to use cabs more often thanks to the card. The MYSAFERIDEHOME program is designed to attract large scale niche audiences not currently available to the taxi industry.
